This stage of the project involves conducting 26 training courses for non-commissioned officers and officers in various military garrisons in October - December 2025.
It should be noted that the course curriculum and information and reference materials for conducting classes within the framework of this project were developed with the participation of international and national experts under the overall coordination of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This provided a unique opportunity to combine the national experience in the field of IHL acquired during the repulsion of armed Russian aggression with the best international practices, which significantly enhances the interest of the target audience.
For reference. DCAF's project activities on in-depth study of IHL norms by military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been successfully ongoing since February 2023. The practical implementation of the project is carried out by the NGO "League of Officers", which has a Memorandum of Cooperation concluded with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
