As part of NATO’s Comprehensive Assistance Package to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including in the military units (subunits) of the “West” Operational Command, practical training seminars are held on psychological support for military personnel of various categories. These activities are carried out in close cooperation with officers from the psychological support units of Operational Command “West,” which ensures that the current needs of the units are taken into account and enhances the practical value of the training.

It should be noted that the NATO project’s training program is aimed at developing the practical skills necessary to maintain the psychological readiness of personnel and effectively carry out their duties under prolonged stress. In addition, the training sessions focus primarily on strengthening service members’ psychological resilience, developing self-regulation skills, mastering practical tools for managing stress reactions related to combat experience, and facilitating effective recovery.

As a reminder, overall coordination of the project within the Armed Forces of Ukraine is carried out by the Main Directorate for Psychological Support of Armed Forces Personnel. The practical implementation of NATO’s project activities is carried out by the NGO “League of Officers,” which has been effectively working in the field of psychological support for service members of the Ukrainian Defense Forces since 2014.
